5.5.13

This Sunday, May 5th, our gathering will look a little different. Instead of gathering at our normal location, Pearl Lower Elementary, we will gather in four different locations across the Jackson metro area. Last week at the gathering we were challenged by the thought that Jesus never said, "Go to church." Instead of "going to church," we have been called to "live as the church." We believe our calling to live as the church extends outside the walls of the Sunday gathering. That's why on Sunday, May 5th, The Exchange will meet "outside of the box," intentionally meeting our neighbors and serving people who may not come to our normal Sunday morning gathering. Our desire is for this day to begin to shape the way we think and live our lives as Christ's representatives everyday, not just on Sunday.

We encourage everyone who is a part of The Exchange to be a part of this day!

Progress on a New Gathering Space

It's beginning to look a lot like...a building! After months of renovations, we are finally beginning to see evidence of what's been going on with our new gathering space. Located off of Hwy 80 in Pearl, behind Trustmark Bank, our new 10,000 sq. ft space is coming along quite nicely. We can't wait to see the finished product that is coming soon, and we're excited about all of the new opportunities to serve people that this building will allow us to have! Below are some pictures of the current progress:

In the meantime, you can join us for our weekly gatherings on Sunday mornings at 10:30AM at Pearl Lower Elementary behind City Park.

Easter Weekend 2013 Recap

Easter weekend 2013 with The Exchange was unthinkable! Saturday, March 30th The Exchange partnered with the city of Pearl to host the annual Mayor's Easter Egg Hunt at Pearl City Park. Over 30 people from The Exchange jumped in to serve by manning inflatables, supervising games, signing people in, and most importantly meeting hundreds of new people!

Sunday, March 31st The Exchange held its Easter gathering at Pearl Lower Elementary where over 100 people celebrated the unthinkable rescue. The day was filled with music, teaching, a family photo booth, and a special time of family celebration.

Below are some pictures from the weekend.
