School Year Kickoff Recap

As the 2014 school year kicked off, The Exchange took the opportunity to serve the employees of the Pearl School District. Phase one was a team of people who gathered and packed 550 coffee mugs with a handwritten note of encouragement and information about The Exchange. Phase two was another team of people who took part in the school year kickoff orientation to personally deliver all of the mugs. It was an awesome opportunity to share our gratitude for the teachers, coaches, and others who will have so much impact on our students for the coming school year. StudentLIFE to Geyser Falls

Students closedown summer with a day of fun! All students 6-12 grade are invited to join StudentLIFE for a day of fun at Geyser Falls water theme park Wednesday, July 30. Geyser Falls located in Philadelphia, MS is home to some of Mississippi's most exciting water fun with slides, wave pools, and a lazy river. Students interested in going can sign up online by July 23 and receive a discounted ticket price of only $24. Money must be received by no later than Wednesday, July 23. Students, invite a friend and be a part of the day at Geyser Falls. 

KidLIFE Day at the Children's Museum

Hey kids! How about a day of fun with some of your friends at the Mississippi Children's Museum? Be a part of KidLIFE Day at the Children's Museum Tuesday, July 22 from 1-5pm. The Children's Museum features two stories of excitement, fun, and learning for all! The day is for all kids who've finished 1-5 grades. Sign up online and get the discounted price of $5 per child. Parents interested in being a chaperone can also sign up online, and the first five parents go for free! Parents please drop off your children at The Exchange building at 1:00 and be back to pick them up at 5:00. Kids don't miss this day of fun!

In Christ

A theme of Paul throughout his letter to the church and believers in Colossae was "in Christ." He reminds them that their acceptance, their security, their purpose, their life, and their hope is found in Christ and in Christ alone. He wanted them to know that their full identity was not in their job, their family, their bank account, their social status, or even their best actions, but their full identity was in Christ. Join us for this new series beginning July 13, as we walk through sections of the book of Colossians to explore who we are in Christ and what that means for us as believers. The Gathering happens each Sunday at 10:30am at The Exchange building located at 417 N. Bierdeman Rd. in Pearl behind Trustmark Bank. Invite a friend and learn to live in your true identity. 

Father's Day Fest Recap

Sunday, June 15 The Exchange celebrated Father's Day by taking church outside the walls to Pearl City Park. It was a great day of honoring fathers, fellowship, and connecting with new people in our city. The day included a "men's only" obstacle course, eating contest, free lunch, live music from The Exchange worship band, and a teaching time. We were reminded that God is not just a Heavenly Father but that He is the only perfect father in history, because He loves us as imperfect people. Check out some of the pictures from the day.

Family Dedication

Sunday, May 11 was a special day! We not only celebrated Mother's Day, but we also celebrated Family Dedication. Ten families presented twelve kids before the church to pledge to raise them under the direction of God and His Word. The day also included a special message about parenting. Father's Day Fest

We believe that father's are pretty special people, so we're throwing a party in their honor and inviting everyone! Be a part of the first ever Father's Day Fest Sunday June 15 at Pearl City Park off Highway 80. There will be live music, free lunch, and an obstacle course and eating contest with prizes for all men! Grab your dad, lawn chairs, and the rest of the family and join us for this exciting day.
